of bloopers, bad makeup,
and unwanted ideas which
reside on the cutting room floor.

In east Hollywood
there's a cramped little room
where the editors swivel in
their comfortable chairs as
they siphon through footage and
remove all the garbage
which they'll leave on the
cutting room floor.

Someone's something never to be shown.
Nowhere nothing ever to be known.

A superfluous scene
to be dropped from the film
of our hero engaged
in a charming exchange
Now it lies on the cutting room floor

A moment of shame
that's preserved on the slides
She wound up alone
in an alternate ending
An expensive mistake
finds its place with the others
in the dust on the cutting room floor

someone enters the room
Sweeping the snippets
